Grow your own marigold plants at home with our illustrated sustainable seed kit.

Called ‘Pot Marigold’ in reference to the cooking pot, the herb has been popular in India, used as a food colourant, medicine and in cosmetics. In Medieval times, if marigolds appeared in your dreams they were a sign of good things to come. Marigolds also make good companion plants for veg growing and organic gardening.

The seeds can be sown indoors in early spring and moved outside to a sunny spot when seedlings are large enough.

With easy to follow instructions, So kits are great for kids, anyone new to growing plants, the seasoned gardener, and make beautiful gifts that benefit people and the planet.

The kit contains all the materials you need to get your seedlings started:

  1. 3 x wood pulp pots

  2. 3 x coir compost pellets

  3. An oak plant marker handmade in Somerset from reclaimed wood

  4. Marigold seeds

  5. A hand-illustrated botanical print with info about plant properties and uses

  6. Sowing instructions and sustainability info about current environmental issues connected to growing food

The kit materials and packaging are all recycled, reclaimed and biodegradable. You can literally add it to the compost heap!
